Information and communication technologies
(ICT) will play a key role in electricity distribution grids, especially
with regard to grid monitoring and system services conducted
through measures of demand side management (DSM).
This paper outlines legal aspects to be taken into consideration
when designing an ICT infrastructure to establish a market
for demand side management and aims at pointing out the
need for further legal research and for adaption of the existing
legal and regulatory framework.
